Here’s some of the AMVs I’ve made.
An AMV, or Anime Music Video, is part of a very specific medium of fan based media. It generally consists of a central visual concept, a musical track (usually, if not always, used without permission of the original artist), and scenes from Japanese animated shows known as anime. It appears to me that the practice of making AMVs is condoned for two reasons. First, it would make the owners of the respective copyrights look cruel to shut down or take legal action against the AMV artist (these artists are usually teenagers). Second, it is a form of free advertising for materials used. Example: I know an individual, who on seeing one of my AMVs, bought the official release of the anime in question and picked the song up from iTunes. But I’ve digressed. Here are some videos:
